Representative Projects

Toxic Tort:  For litigation, analyzed soil and air sampling results as well as potential exposure pathways to determine the likelihood of human health effects from chemical exposure.

Data Quality:  Managed the organization and data quality assessment of laboratory and field data related to chemical analyses and ecological toxicity.

Evaluation of Historical Toxicity Testing:  Evaluated historical toxicity testing of PCBs in order to understand contemporaneous interpretation and how protocols and reporting changed over time for a cost allocation litigation case.

Carbon Nanotubes:  Performed review of the human toxicology literature related to single-walled carbon nanotubes. This review was provided to US EPA.

Occupational Exposure:  Reviewed medical and occupational records to support exposure assessment in a work-related lawsuit.  This information became part of the expert opinion report.

Consumer Product Communications:  Provided editorial support for a variety of communications, including press releases, websites, interviews, product labels, speeches, congressional testimony, internal reports, etc. for a consumer product manufacturer.  Collaborated with internal decision-makers as well as outside consultants.

Toxicity Criteria Development:  Developed health-based inhalation criteria (HBIC) for compounds that did not have US EPA-approved toxicity criteria published in the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS).
