Ms. Olson is the director of Gradient’s extensive library and information resources with more than 30 years of experience in bibliographic database creation and management, Internet research, online literature searching, and document retrieval.  She has more than 25 years of experience as an information specialist in the environmental and risk assessment field.  At Gradient, she is responsible for all reference, research, and current awareness services in support of business development and technical project work; managing the corporate intranet; and creating and maintaining in-house bibliographic and knowledge management databases.

Prior to joining Gradient, Ms. Olson worked as an information specialist contracted to the US Department of Transportation.  She also spent two years in Galway, Ireland, as managing editor at Information Sources, Ltd., an indexing and abstracting service, where she directed all aspects of database and indexing operations.  Ms. Olson was also the technical resource librarian at Commercial Union Insurance Co. in the Risk Control Division, where she was responsible for providing reference services to a nationwide staff in the field of safety engineering and loss prevention.
