Gradient Scientists to Speak at the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Symposium

Gradient will give two presentations at the International Consumer Product Health and Safety (ICPHSO) Symposium, taking place February 29 – March 3, in Washington, DC.

Ari Lewis and Dr. Tamara Lunsman will present a tutorial titled, “Technical and Logistical Challenges in Toxicity Evaluations Under the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labeling Assessment Framework.” The session will outline the basics of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling Chemicals (GHS) as a hazard identification (classification) and communication (labeling) framework and present case studies that highlight some of the challenges and opportunities involved in the application of the GHS framework.

Dr. Tom Lewandowski will chair a plenary session “So you want to develop and market a green product?” The session will take the audience through the process of realistically evaluating product hazards, developing possible alternatives, making a decision, and documenting this process to support eventual marketing claims.
