In this issue of Trends, we provide several articles on the topic of environmental justice (EJ).
Our first article takes a look at EJ-related projects happening throughout the United States, made possible by federal funding. The second article explores the importance and limitations of using various tools available to evaluate potential EJ concerns in a given area. The third article discusses the value in further developing the relationship between cumulative risk assessment and EJ initiatives. Our fourth article, which was authored by attorneys at WilmerHale, sheds light on how companies can navigate the newer concept of EJ with respect to the development of a proactive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and compliance program.
